Our ProgramsFundraising

In 2007, a group of men and women from Tanzania, Australia and Canada saw a need to increase access to services and facilities for the orphans, street kids and general community of Mwanza, Tanzania.

After careful consultation with many street kids and orphans, orphanages, families, service providers and government departments, the Mahina region of Mwanza was selected to base our operations.

The founders of Mwamba house have extensive experience working with the orphaned and vulnerable children of the Mwanza region, and rely on both local Tanzanian and international staff. We also welcome volunteers to come and assist us with our projects.

Mwamba House is a non-profit organisation and NGO status was awarded by the Tanzanian Government in 2008.

OUR AIM is to provide classes, services and assistance to the disadvantaged and vulnerable children and adults of Mwanza, enabling them to improve their health, education and living conditions and reach their full potential as human beings.
